Complete Vedic Temple Construction — From Foundation to Kalash

MANDIR by AMR BuildTech handles the full lifecycle of sacred construction — Vastu consultation, architectural design, stone carving, Shikhara erection and consecration preparation. One team, one responsibility, zero compromises.

Every Service. One Dedicated Team.

Unlike general contractors who occasionally take temple projects, MANDIR is a specialist vertical built exclusively for Vedic sacred construction. Our services span the complete spectrum — from a compact home mandir to a sprawling temple complex with dharamshala, mandap and multiple shrines.

Every service we offer is governed by Vastu Shastra and Agama Shastra principles. Every material we use is sourced from traditional quarries. Every craftsman on our team is trained specifically in temple construction — not diverted from a residential or commercial project.

New Temple Construction Services

Ground-up temple construction — every style, every scale, every material — built from the first brick to the final Kalash.

Vedic Temple Construction

Our flagship service — complete new temple construction as per Vastu Shastra and Agama Shastra in Nagara, Dravidian or Vesara architectural styles. Covers site survey, Vastu layout, structural design, stone carving, Shikhara erection and finishing. Available across all MP districts.

Marble Mandir Construction

Premium mandir construction in Makrana white marble, Rajasthani pink marble and Italian marble. Hand-carved idol niches (devakoshtha), decorative jali screens, polished flooring, floral border carvings and inlay work by our specialist marble shilpakars. Ideal for homes, societies and trusts.

Stone Temple Construction

Traditional temple construction in Bansi Paharpur sandstone, Rajasthani yellow stone, Kota stone, Jodhpur pink stone and granite. Stone temples age beautifully, require minimal maintenance and carry the authentic character of classical Indian sacred architecture. Suitable for all temple styles and scales.

Home Mandir Construction

A home mandir is not furniture — it is the sacred heart of your household. We design and build custom home mandirs in marble, teak wood, sheesham, granite and fibre — sized to your space and dedicated to your family deity, with all Vastu considerations observed.

Society Mandir Construction

RWAs and housing societies trust us most because we understand committee dynamics — transparent budgeting, milestone-based payments, detailed scope documents and regular progress reports. We have built society mandirs for communities across Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and beyond.

Outdoor Mandir Construction

Open-air mandirs for gardens, parks, residential compounds and public spaces. Designed to withstand the elements while maintaining traditional aesthetics — weather-resistant stone, proper drainage, and structural engineering appropriate for exposed outdoor settings.

Specialised Vedic Construction Services

Beyond the main temple structure — the sacred spaces and elements that complete a full temple complex.

Shikhara Construction

The Shikhara or Vimana is the crown of the temple — the element most visible from a distance and most demanding in terms of craft. We build Shikharas in Latina (single curvilinear tower), Shekhari (cluster spires) and Vesara styles. Structural engineering ensures the load is correctly distributed; shilpakars handle the ornamental Amalaka, Kalash and decorative banding.

Vastu Shastra Design

Before a single stone is laid, the temple must be correctly oriented and proportioned. Our Vastu Shastra design service covers site assessment, cardinal alignment of the Garbhagriha, Mandapa dimensions per the Talamana system, Dwara (entrance) proportions, idol niche sizing for the chosen deity, and ritual pit (kunda) positioning. This service can be engaged independently or as part of a full construction project.

Mandir Renovation

Old temples deserve authentic restoration — not cosmetic paint jobs. Our renovation service covers structural assessment and strengthening, Shikhara crack repair and re-plastering, stone re-dressing and replacement, idol niche restoration, Garbhagriha refurbishment, flooring replacement and rainwater drainage correction. Materials used always match the original construction as closely as possible.

Sacred Complex & Community Construction

Full temple complexes require more than just the main sanctum — dharamshalas, mandaps, ashrams and parikrama paths are all part of the complete sacred environment.

Mandap Construction

The Mandapa is the ceremonial hall where devotees gather for puja, kirtan and religious events. We build mandaps in stone, marble, RCC and wood — open (sabha mandapa), closed, or with a flat roof — sized for the congregation and proportioned to complement the main temple sanctum.

Dharamshala Construction

Pilgrims and devotees need dignified accommodation near the temple. We build dharamshalas that are functional, well-ventilated, structurally sound and aesthetically in keeping with the temple complex — including common areas, bathrooms, a small kitchen and, where required, a meditation hall.

Ashram Construction

Ashrams are full spiritual communities — residential quarters, meditation halls, a temple sanctum, outdoor yajna kund, herb gardens and utility spaces. We design and build complete ashrams from scratch, balancing traditional Vedic spatial principles with the practical needs of a living spiritual community.

Temple Complex Construction

Large-scale temple complexes — multiple shrines for different deities, a main sanctum, dharamshala, mandap, parikrama (circumambulation) path, gate towers (Gopuram in Dravidian style), garden and boundary wall. We plan, design and build the complete complex as a unified sacred environment.

Temple Trust Construction

Religious trusts managing donated funds have specific accountability requirements. We provide formal project documentation, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), phased payment schedules linked to construction milestones, and photographic progress records — everything a trust needs for transparent stewardship of community funds.

Nagara Style Temples

Our most requested architecture style — the classic curvilinear North Indian Shikhara tower. We build in all Nagara sub-styles: Latina (Rekha Prasada), Shekhari (cluster spires), Bhumija, and the regional Kalinga and Maru-Gurjara variants. Each sub-style has its own proportional system and ornament vocabulary — we know them all.

Temple Architecture Styles We Build

Three classical traditions — dozens of regional sub-styles. We work fluently across all of them.

North & Central India

Nagara Style

Curvilinear Shikhara rising above the Garbhagriha. Sub-styles: Latina, Shekhari, Bhumija, Kalinga (Odisha), Chandela and Maru-Gurjara (Rajasthan & Gujarat). The dominant tradition of Madhya Pradesh's own historical temples.

South India

Dravidian Style

Pyramidal Vimana with horizontal tiers. Sub-styles: Pallava, Chola, Pandya, Vijayanagara, Nayaka and Kerala. Particularly requested by South Indian communities and devotees of South Indian deities settling in MP.

EXPLORE
Deccan Plateau

Vesara Style

A sophisticated synthesis of Nagara and Dravidian elements. Sub-styles: Badami Chalukya, Kalyani Chalukya, Rashtrakuta and Hoysala — the last famous for star-shaped plans and extraordinarily intricate soapstone carving.

Materials We Work With

Every material selected for its durability, workability and fidelity to traditional temple construction.

Makrana Marble

The same white marble used in the Taj Mahal — sourced from Makrana, Rajasthan. Pure white, very fine grain, takes a brilliant polish and carves with exceptional precision. Our first choice for premium home mandirs and society mandirs requiring intricate carving detail.

Bansi Paharpur Sandstone

The red-cream sandstone of Rajasthan — used in Khajuraho, Fatehpur Sikri and countless Nagara temples. Weathers to a beautiful honey-gold patina over time. Excellent for Shikhara construction, carved panels, jali screens and decorative friezes. Our primary material for Nagara style temples.

Granite & Kota Stone

Granite for flooring, steps and structural elements requiring exceptional durability. Kota stone for economical flooring and platform (jagati) construction. Both materials resist the MP climate well — hot summers, monsoon moisture and temperature fluctuations. Often used alongside marble or sandstone for a complete temple build.

Service FAQs

Common questions about our temple construction services.

What types of temple construction services does MANDIR offer?

We offer 12 service categories — new Vedic temple construction, mandir renovation, Shikhara construction, Vastu Shastra design, marble mandir, stone temple, home mandir, society mandir, outdoor mandir, mandap construction, dharamshala construction, ashram construction and full temple complex construction. All services are available across Madhya Pradesh.

Do you build both large temple complexes and small home mandirs?

Yes — every scale. A compact home mandir in marble or wood takes 2–6 weeks. A society mandir takes 3–8 months. A full temple complex with dharamshala, mandap and multiple shrines can take 12–36 months. Every project receives the same shastriya care and Vastu Shastra compliance regardless of size.

What materials do you use for temple construction?

We work with Makrana marble, Bansi Paharpur sandstone, Rajasthani pink and yellow stone, Kota stone, granite, limestone, teak wood, sheesham and fibre. Material selection depends on the temple style, climate, budget and client preference. Our shilpakars have deep expertise in carving and finishing each of these.

How long does temple construction take?

Timeline depends on size and complexity. Home mandirs: 2–6 weeks. Society mandirs: 3–8 months. Temple complex: 12–36 months. We provide a detailed project schedule before work begins and send regular progress updates throughout construction.

Do you also handle Pratishtha (consecration) preparation?

Yes. We ensure the construction is fully prepared for Pratishtha — Garbhagriha dimensions correct per Agama Shastra, devakoshtha proportioned for the deity, ritual kunda properly positioned. We coordinate with your pandit or trust committee for all structural requirements of the ceremony. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
